Honda Hybrid Advertisement
The Making of the Advertisement
Today I came across the Honda Hybrid 'Let It Shine' advertisement and was pretty much hypnotized by the amazing lights that are used. The advertisement is to promote the new Honda Hybrid car, which uses hundreds of car lights that make up different pictures such as smiles faces, love hearts and hugs and kisses. The idea behind the advertisement is to promote the new campaign that Honda make cleaner car technology accessible to a wider audience.
I think the advert is fantastic and draws the audience in from the start. After researching into the advert on Youtube, I came across the making of the advert, which shows the depth they went to, to create it. It describes how they had to have hundreds of cars lined up and put a camera on a crane 60 meters high to get the right angle. Each car would then turn its lights off in synch to make up each object.
I find the advert even more amazing after watching the making of it because the the whole piece was actually made the old fashioned way without any CG or latest technology.
