Scorch Motion

Scorch Motion are a London based design company who specialize Motion Graphics, Animation, Idents and Commercials to name a few. They have a very impressive client base that include big companies including Adobe, Channel 4, Nokia, O2, Samsung and Universal Music.

I came across the company when I seen there Motion Graphics commercial for the Nokia 3250 Mobile Phone. The commercial is quiet short but is created in a very unusual way that reminded me of the techniques that Tal Rosner created in his short film, Doppelganger.

The commercial starts off with a Mobile Phone which starts rotating and multiplying as it creates unusual shapes and colours. The idea is to promote the phone as a music phone and at the end of the commercial a pair of headphones appear on the phone.

I would love to have the chance have a portfolio crit with this company because they are also involved in channel rebranding, which is something I am going to do for my final major project. When I find out the dates that we are going London with University, I will contact this company to see if they could give me tips and advice for my final major project.
